How do you determine the size bracelet or necklace to order?

Our bracelets are measured from clasp edge to clasp edge. Over 98% of the bracelets we make measure 7 1/2 inches (this is a retail store's size 7). Bracelets containing larger beads measure around 8 inches. As a general rule, a 7 1/2 inch bracelet will fit a woman up to size 18. Adult Bracelets: We suggest that you measure your exact wrist measurement and add one inch for bracelet size. This will assure a length where the bracelet can move freely on the wrist, but not be too big. Reduce the length by 1/4" to 1/2" for a snugger fit. Child Bracelets: For children, we suggest that you measure the exact wrist measurement and add 1/2" to 3/4", depending on how loose you would like it to fit. Ankle Bracelets: Ankle bracelets are a little tricky. We recommend placing a piece of yarn or string around the ankle as you like it to hang and cutting this piece where the ends touch. Then measure the yarn or string and add to that measurement 3/4" to allow for the clasp. Most of the ankle bracelets we make measure 9 3/4" to 10" long, including the clasp. Necklaces: As with the ankle bracelets, we recommend placing a piece of yarn or string around the neck as you like it to hang and cutting this piece where the ends touch. Then measure the yarn or string and add to that measurement one inch to allow for the clasp. Most of the necklaces we make measure 16" long, including the clasp, which hits most necks right over the Adams apple.

If I order two of the same item, will they be exactly the same?

Each design in our store is a handcrafted piece. Please be aware that the designs may vary slightly from those pictured, as each bead varies. Bead substitutions may be made in order to enhance the piece at times, but the theme pictured will be represented. I am sure you will be very satisfied with the designs you receive!!!

After the first six months, will you still repair my jewelry?

If you damage your design from me, I will repair it for you for a restringing charge of $7.00 per bracelet strand, plus the cost of any individual parts that are required to make the repair.

Do you repair or restring jewelry made by others?

Yes! I would be happy to repair/restring beaded jewelry purchased from others for a restringing charge of $7.00 per bracelet strand, plus the cost of any individual parts that are required to make the repair. Necklaces need to be seen before quotes can be given, as there are many variables to consider. We can also update and redesign jewelry that has been in the family for a long time. I once redesigned a Grama's necklace into 12 bracelets for her granddaughters. What a wonderful memory this made for them!

Will you ship your designs to me?

Will you design custom pieces to match a wedding gown or special outfit?

You bet! Just bring the garment in and we will pull out the beads and start designing. Please call ahead for an appointment time for this service.

Do you redesign jewelry that we have had from the past?

Yes, we love to do this! We have redesigned grandmother's necklaces into several updated bracelets for their granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Please call for an appointment to discuss this option and we can sit down and start creating!

Do you have gift certificates?

I have gift certificates available in any denomination! We can make them in any dollar increment you would like! We can mail them directly to you or the recipient with just a phone call.

What do the specific color/finish names mean?

Some colors in the world of beads have specific names. The following is a list of the lesser-known color names and what they mean. Jonquil -- A light yellow tone. Siam -- A bold and bright red; like a cherry. Jet -- A true black. Peridot -- A light, soft green. Topaz -- A color somewhat darker than amber. Capri – A bright ocean blue color. AB/Aurora Borealis -- A coating that is usually applied to only one side of a bead or crystal, that has a metallic silver/blue shine. Vitrial -- A coating much like AB, but with more of a gold tint. Opaque and Translucent -- Opaque is solid color, which you cannot see through; Translucent is a cloudy finish through which you can see.
